Chad's Coaching Philosophy

Everyone is unique, everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. Taking that into consideration, it makes sense that everyone needs a unique training plan. With 9 years of professional experience in cycling Chad has an innate ability to recognize an individual’s strengths and weaknesses surrounding the bike. It is only through the recognition of these strengths and weaknesses that one can formulate a proper training plan.

Chad's cyclist training incorporates many different “techniques” including specific on the bike training, nutritional advice, goal setting, strength/core training, and mental training. One aspect of training Chad feels is often overlooked is mental training. Over his many years of racing professional Chad formulated a mental training plan that is easy to implement. But the importance of each of these training facets cannot be overlooked when in the search of peak performance.

To get to a high level within competitive cycling, it takes time. Chad understands most people don't have 20+hrs a week to devote to training. The less amount of time someone has to dedicate to training, the more important it is to maximize the time you do have, and Chad can help you do that.

Chad’s main focus is to help his athletes maintain a health, sustainable relationship with cycling/training. You don't become a champion overnight! And the best way to stay motivated is to keep it fun and enjoyable, which is what Chad is all about. You have to have those goals set at just the right height and you have to have the proper plan in place to achieve them. Chad takes pride in helping his athletes achieve their goals, be it losing 20lbs, breaking Strava KOM's, crushing group rides, or winning the World Championships. Whatever the goal Chad has a plan for you!

"Hard work, passion and dedication, paired with a good training plan. There's no better recipe for success in this sport.”
